Welcome to another great Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
This week we want you to STENCIL IT.
As simple as that so take all your stencils and have fun.
As always there is a $50 voucher to win
and spend at Simon Says Stamp Store!
Don't think twice and join us.
My today's projest is a quite heavy card with the whole background
covered with texture paste and a cute Leafy stencil by Tim Holtz.
I really love the deep purples made with some mixed media products.
Take a look:
On my background I played a lot with Infusions and Metallique paints,
lots of water and heat drying and all over again.
First I applied the texture paste through the Leafy stencil and heat dried it.
Mixed Metallique Paints with water and placed on my background
randomly letting them pass between the textured patterns.
I did it several times, drying in between the layers.
After that I applied the Infusions and played several times too.
When I was satisfied with the colors, I stamped the frame
with Bo Bunny Stitches and Archival Jet Black.
Then I took my second panel of watercolor paper and just played
with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain Ink building the background
several times until the effect was the one I wanted.
I also added some Distress Wild Honey Ink to warmer the browns.
Then I stamped the same frame as on my bigger background
with Archival Jet Black and some random letters from
Type Lower Foam Stamp with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain Ink.
I gave a touch of Prima Vintage Vanity stamp as well.
Finally I die cut some Wildflowers 2 and colored them with Distress Inks.
Die cut a sentiment with Alphanumeric thinlits from a golden
mirror cardstock from my stash.
The sentiment is in Polish and means "100 years"
which is what we wish on someone's birthday.
I placed all together with 3D dots and add a twine.

The background you created is stunning with the stencilling and those gorgeous rich colours and the 'stitching' brings the whole piece together beautifully!
OdpowiedzUsuńIt has been a pleasure to work alongside you for this last month! Anne xx
